About This Event
The Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo is a traveling, family-oriented rodeo that honors the legacy of Black cowboy Bill Pickett by showcasing African American, Native American, and Latino cowboys and cowgirls in competitive rodeo events and cultural programming. The program takes place at Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth’s historic Stockyards and features traditional rodeo competitions and entertainment that highlight the overlooked contributions of Black cowboys to the American West.
