About This Event
Stockyards Championship Rodeo is a traditional rodeo showcase held at the Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth’s historic Stockyards National Historic District. The event presents standard professional rodeo competitions—such as bull riding, bronc riding, steer wrestling, team roping and barrel racing—and draws regional and national cowboys and cowgirls. It is notable for taking place in the Cowtown Coliseum, the site of the world’s first indoor rodeo and a long-standing center of Texas rodeo tradition.
